hello I want a pair of chassis strut braces. Does anyone know any place where I can purschase them ?

    Check out www.IPDUSA.com. They have a full series of strut brace options from mild to wild. A little pricey for my liking but I did get the upper braces, lower Cherry braces and the strut to strut cross brace... a solid solid solution.

    If you just want the strut to firewall braces check the bone yards for 240 Turbo cars... bars came stock.

      You surely did not mean to say that, at least not about N. American cars. Only the '79 242GT is a source for strut to firewall braces. Apparently much more common in Oz?

        Thank you for the correction! Guess I mis-interpreted / mis-remembered previous posts! Your input has been fully noted and filed for future reference. Funny you should mention OZ though! Last Friday evening we did have a tornado skip over our house! No serious damage, just fried electronic devices from lightning and hail damage to the house. Fortunately, the Bricks were in the garage! Guess thats called irony.

          Pretty much.
          '78 242GT: Some (few) had R-sport front springs, some had lower strut braces, all had puny swaybars
          '79 242GT Most or all had R-sport front springs, upper strut braces (and plates), 21mm front 23 mm rear bars
          '80 242GT No good springs, no braces, just 23 mm front 21 mm rear sways, the turbo setup.

            Thanks for the ultimate detail, now I am enlightened. This is what I like about the board... the true knowledge is passed on to others without the corrected being offended! I just wish the Mitsu forum was this laid back and true! Can you say threats of violence?
