vibration problem 700 1990

Is it the "torque convertor" or the transmission or something else?
There is a window-rattling, rearview mirror blurring, vibration most
notably in Reverse, but a little less in all gears except Park and Neutral.
I started 5 days after 1) timing belt change, and 2) after the harmonic
balancer replaced ---vibration is worse on cooler mornings, but any
part of the day.
160 k miles on this Volvo. Transmission was "rebuilt" (previous owner)
in 2002.
Thank you. I can also be reached at "moonwink@myway.com"

I had an 89 740 NA that did this. It was the rear u-joint (in really bad shape) & the car had less than 100K on it at the time it went out.

Maybe your transmission mount is bad. Seems too soon for the universal joint to go bad. Don't know if the automatics have a bubber "flex disk" but if so it could be loose or going bad.

Never heard of converterator or tranny causing vibration.
Vibration at all speeds? Only when moving or just when stopped?
    Is the engine simply missfiring?
