242DL - front seat won't flip forward 200 1978

The driver's side seat no longer flips forward, so people can't climb into the back seat on that side. Any quick and easy fixes? I don't want to spend $100's of dollars to get it fixed.

    If you are handy, you can fix it with $2 worth of music wire and an afternoon. Pull the seat out of the car and remove the cover from the seat back. Be careful with the fragile plastic at the release lever.
