I am looking for the obd 2 connector on a 1996 960 that has the 940 body style and interior.
can anyone tell me where its at???

    It is located as "dewfpo" described. However, to expose the connector, slide the cover with the OBS-II marking on it side-wise toward the brake handle. It is easily broken if you try to pry up on it. (Last inspector broke mine. Luckily, just the cover tab broke and I got a new one from the dealer.)

    My 98 has it in the center console, to the right of the parking brake lever on the passenger's side of the console. Rotate the plastic cover to expose the OBDII connector.
