The PV Register - Needs Your Entry! 444-544

Guys and gals,

I just figured out how to calculate how many PV entries are in the register and display this number on my PV Register home page, and I'm pretty depressed to say it's only at 15.

Comon folks! I know there are more than 15 PVs out there!

I know my register seems a little redundant - with the other PV register also out there - but mine allows much more information to be posted, notes, mod info and free image hosting! Oh, and besides, I'm not trying to sell anything.

Please take a few moments and add your PV(s) to the register. If you do not have a picture online, I will gladly accept an upload or email with your picture, and I will host it for free. I have made a lot of changes to the register sort functionality and PV addition features. Remember, this register is for everyone and the more PV information available, the better!

If you haven't already, please add your PV today:

Thank you!!

Nice work on your list. I didn't realize that the OTHER register tried to sell something or didn't offer free image hosting. The OTHER register has over 725 vehicles listed, with photos of many, and the opportunity for ALL owners to submit photos.

Due to illness, the registers hadn't been updated for a few months, but all data submitted had been added to the database as it was received, and was uploaded to the websites as my health and computer access time permitted.

I noticed complaints regarding a lack of responses to emailed questions and comments. Through research, I find that the email link from Roundfender has an obsolete email contact, and the correct address is amazon@frontiernet.net
Mail sent to the incorrect address was never forwarded, thus data submitted in that manner was not received.

I apologize if my chemo and subsequent radiation treatments were an inconvenience to some prospective or current registrants. Many thanks to those (especially you, Gabe) for sticking up for me while I recover.

    Best Regards,
    Bearman

      Bearman,

I meant no harm, disregard or disrespect towards your register [or you personally]. As for the image hosting, I was unaware that your register provided hosting for images as there was no place to put them when I registered my PV, [and emailing you to find out was not an option], although I do see other people's images listed. The comment about not selling anything simply meant that I was in no way affiliated with a store or other merchant (i.e. no Bearman Motorsports) and that this was a personal endevor. I apologize for not explaining this further.

I wish you the best of luck during your illness and hope for a speedy recovery.

      Sincerely,

      Tony Scarola

That's strange! It works every time for me and two others posted their entries last night as well. What Internet browser are you using?

Please email me the PV info and I will try to post it manually.

I'm using IE. And I rarely have problems with it.

I'll go try again. Perhaps some else was using your portal.

If I get the same error I'll try using this Mobile Web application on my phone.

I checked out your register. Nice work!
Thanks for saving me the trouble!
I'll go out and get my car's registration and engine number.
You may recall that I now have a B20 from a 1975 140-series car. Inputting the 'new' engine number may help someone in the future track down their missing engine!

Where do you find the engine number? I know my car was upgraded to a B18, but I'm not sure if it's a D or B. I thought there wasn't a way to know for sure? I originally put B but now I realize it's more likely a D as it is a hybrid of a 444 and a 544 (544 fenders from donor car, trunks and nose--you can tell from an inspection of the underside paint), so it's more likely to have a 544 donor engine.

      thanks

        Belinda,
The number is on the driver's side of the block in the vicinity of the carburetor, if I remember correctly. Go to http://www.volvoclubs.de/volvoev/welcome.html, click on "Technik, Tips, Angebote,Service" and then click on "Motortypen". That will get you to a downloadable PDF.

        Tony,
This is a frequently recurring question. Maybe you should add the link or the list to your Register.
        Bob S.
