I am currently suffering from having the windshield washer fluid drain out of the fluid line and back into the reservoir during relatively short periods of non-use. This results in a 30-60 second delay before the washer pump primes itself and forces a sufficient amount of fluid to get a decent enough stream to clean my windshield. Once primed and flowing, it has a good, steady and reliable stream, so I don't think there are any issues with the pump.

I'm thinking the problem is a lack of a non-return valve in the fluid line. Is there a source for such a thing, such as a universal valve you can just add to the line?

Thanks all. On my model I have only a single squirt nozzle. I assume I can block the second outlet on the valve and it would work for the single nozzle. I'll give it a try.

IPD has them for about $5.00 and can be retrofit to any model. If you were to go to their web site www.ipdusa.com the part number is VE392074.

Actually, I found it in their 2005 catalog and gave you a bad part number. The real # is VE1392074 but I tried to look it up on their web site without any luck either. You might have to call them at 1-800-444-6473

WS (Web Site) and VE (Vintage) are marketing codes and not part of the part number. This makes the search box on IPD's site about impossible to use if not aware of that little fact. If one removes the first two letters, the search box should work.
