I just bought a 94 940 turbo. It was idling rough, so i thought i would change the spark plugs. well, #3 was stripped and was barley in there maybe5-7 turns.

since this is the kind of tool you use once, i thought i would see if anybody wanted to sell theirs.

NAPA usually carries the thread chaser ( not KD brand ) for around $12-14

Search ebay for thread chaser etc. e.g present item 4609888529

You can make a minor sort of chaser by grinding flats on an old plug

If the treads are truely stripped, will a thread-chaser help? I would think you'd need to re-tap the threads and use a helicoil? But it depends on the condition of the threads.
