I noticed lately that the sunroof isn't operating real smoothly when selecting the "vent" position, giving a soft "clunk", especially when opening it. Close inspection found cracks and a few small missing pieces on the plastic "guides" that the pins ride through when opening the roof. These are about 7" long and look like a gate and the make the guide pins travel in different directions depending on what chosice you select for position. They line the metal framework that they are inserted in. At first I thought "no problem, I'll pick up a new pair, remove the broken ones and just snap them in." When I checked closer, I found what looks to be small plastic pins that were left over in holes in the surrounding metal frame work when parts of these guides broke off. They apprear to be more that just a "press-fit".
My question is are there replaceable without a big nightmare, or best left alone. Since most of this gate and slider arrangement looks to be mainly for the "vent" function, I could live without it if I have too.
Thanks again. (Don't see these guides mentioned in the FAQ's)
