My '74 is an auto :(. I'm converting to a T5 so I'll need to swap the pedals assemblies. I'm told that the only assemblies that will "bolt on" are those from manual cars of the same vintage. Thought I had a line on one of these but I guess the deal fell through. So.. If anyone has one I'd be interested in it OR... if there is another sollution I'd be interested in knowing how you did it. I have no problem modifying or adapting something from another car...

    i have a 73' 142 and a 74' 145 . both were auto's origanaly. i converted the 145 myself i had clutch/brake asembly out of one of my old 74' 145's. it was easy. the 142 was converted when i bought the car. the p.o. had built the clutch pedal himself. the ratio on the arm is off so it has too much travel. so i went on a search for a pedal assembly. i have one from a 240 and one from a -72' 140. neither of them will work witout major changes. the early 140 one is closer to fitting than the 240. with the amount of work it would take to make either work, it would just be easier to build my own. i'm thinking of making a new panel for the firewall and making an aseembly with a bias bar setup and losing the brake booster and tandem master cylinder and going with single master for both front and rear. good luck on your trans swap.

    Hello,
    In the last three months I have sucessfully completed a T5 swap into a 1971 145S. It was however a stick to start with. If you have any questions or want to know what the 'troubled' spots are, send me an email.
