brake backing plates 200

Just wondering if anyone has stumbled on a good place to purchase brake backing plates along with the center rings? Have to change out some rotors and the plates have some rust holes and should probably be replaced. Did some searches and dealer prices seem to run 60-70 dollars a side. Finding good ones in the junkyard is tough plus their alot of work to remove.

Got mine at: www.fcpgroton.com/volvo.htm

Don't forget to get the rings as well. I usually get my orders the day after.

Also, painting them helps them last a bit longer.

Enjoy.

Try Ben at Swedish Engineering. info.swedishengineering.com or 1-800-938-6586

He is a good guy and might have some used ones.

Yama,

I was wondering the exact use of these backing plates a month ago when I was putting in a wheel stud. Protect the caliper ?

The caliper, rotor and wheel bearing seal. Also keeps alot of sand and road debris out. Acts as a splash guard too. If your rotor is hot and you hit a puddle it can cause warping.
