I was reading in the bentley book that you cannot unplug the ignition conector. I have an old style connector - which I guess are the ones that get damamged. I already have a replacement connector - but need the pins. Anyone have an idea what part number the acutaly pins are? Any upgraded connector available ?

    Are you talking about the sleeves that go over the pins at the ICU?
    That PT# is 1324909-9 and when i got some they were about 6 bucks each. I used a small punch to install them on the pins of the ICU --- just have to be careful putting them on the pins. You will not have to replace the connector for the harness as the sleeves take up the slack in the connector terminals

      I know volvo sells the empty connector - I bought one. What I need are the female barrel connectors to attach to the wires themselves. I would have to imagine they are available - as the plug body is available. I just need to know the part number or know of a good volvo parts dealer that know the 240 stuff.

      Chrysler used the same connector on their "lean burn" setup - I wonder if the same stipulation exists on those pieces - where you can only plug/unplug once.

        I know it's been over a decade since you posted this, but i'm desperately searching for the ICU plug that you said you got from volvo. I'm wondering if you remember and could share how you got it?
