89 240 speedometer was working intermitingly ,now not at all 200

what is there to check? i am thinking it may be the plug on the back ,because i have disconnected it so many times,but has anyone else had theirs act like this?...Kris

If all the warning lights are working, then the plug is probably in place, as many of them are powered from a PCB trace that it powers.

I had this issue on a 740, but all the parts are similar; turned out to be bad wiring near the speed sensor on the differential. Check that wiring and if it looks bad, splice it. Worked for me.
