Volvos in Denton Texas?

Sort of an interesting Volvo question. I am considering a big move from SW Ohio to Denton Texas. Was curious if there are Volvo fanatics in that area?? Also, any brickboard types who could clue me in on what it's like to live down there would great. I might be working at the University of North Texas!

Denton does not have a Volvo dealer but their are several dealers nearby in Dallas/Fort Worth area. Point West Volvo in Irving, TX was the largest volume Volvo dealer in the country in the late 80s/early 90s. The Dallas/Fort Worth area is also one of the largest volume areas for new car sales every year, so most trade frequently. SUVs and Trucks are very popular here, but you will see Volvos.

Terry at D&T Foreign Car Service (aka "Volvo Clinic")is a very kowledgeable and good mechanic for Volvos. They are located just west of downtown Fort Worth, about 30 miles from Denton, (817)737-3981.

Maybe you already knew?

And what George (one state away) Downs said.

Break a leg, or whatever you say to musicians? ;-)

Dallas is fairly close. Somewhat farther is Bartlesville, Oklahoma (only one
state away) which is where I am. I think you'll probably find Denton a pretty
relaxed place, fairly hot in the summer and wet in the spring. The music school
at NTSU is GREAT. I drove up there from Edinburg, TX (see map) one day with a
stop at the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco and had dinner that evening with my sister who was taking a summer music course there. Wouldn't talk for long-
she had lots of homework.
