I have a 1992 745. How much is the normal RPM supposed to be
at 55mph and 65mph. Mine shows around 2300-2400 at 55mph. Is
this more than the "normal" ? THanks in advance.

Like everyone else said, it depends on which rear-end you have as well as the transmission.

If your wagon is an automatic non-turbo like mine, I think you have the same AW70-L tranny and rear end as I do. Mine is about 2500 at 55mph (maybe a little less) and about 3000 at 70mph. I know because my speedometer was intermittent for a while and I wanted to be able to find my usual limits using the tach.

Seems high, but only as per my car. 2000rpm nets me about 60MPH.

I have the '89 745T auto w/ 3.73 gears. Maybe you have the 4.11 gears..?

sounds a little bit high too me - i have a '87 745 turbo (manual trannsmission) and at 55mph i got 2000rpm - at 65mph i have 2500rpm.
is your overdrive working?

normal, i guess. my 940 with M47 indicates the same...

that sounds pretty much normal to me!

At 120 kms/ hr (sorry, I'm a metric baby) the tach reads 2650 / 2700 on a day where driving conditions are normal.
