Turn indicator permanently ON S90-V90

Hi All,

Stange problem with my 98 Volvo V90. Suddenly, my left turn signal indicator is permanently on, even though the lever is in the "off" position and NONE of my turn signals are working - neither are my emergency flashers. When I move the lever to indicate a right turn, my emergency flasher indicator eluminates.

I have checked the fuses that could be related with no luck. I have also checked the turn indicator bulbs, again with no luck. All other lights appear to work normally, break lights, reverse lights, etc.

Help!

    I'm having the same issues with my S90, but the problem is intermitent. When it does occur, the left turn signal work fine until I turn on the headlights, then the left turn signal stays on all the time and the the right is inoperable. When the turn signal control is set to the right (with the headlights on) all the lights go haywire. They all flash, including the license plate lights. Weird. I just can't believe that the proble is in the bulbs, but I'll try anything.

    You might also want to try replacing the bulbs. We had the same problem with our V90 and replacing the turn indicator bulbs took care of it. Seems the contacts at the base of the bulbs had fused together.

      Thanks! That is exactly what had happened - the connectors had fused together. I replaced the front directionals and all is well! Let me tell you, two days of driving without turn indicators is two days too many!

    Probably a dead turn signal relay. Mine stopped working once and it turned out to be a faulty fuse holder - loose. Everything on that fuse stopped working.
