AIR VENTS NOT WORKING 960 S90-V90

There is a small control module under the dash on the passenger side that contols all the vent doors. I had problems with it acting intermittantly a couple of years back. If you pull off the lower dash panels its not too far up inside and should have a connector with about 8-10 connections on it. Mine developed microfractures on the connector that were causing the intermittant operation. I resoldered it and it has been good ever since.

Still, I wonder about this since you said you just got it back from the shop for AC work. Was it a volvo shop or an independent? These cars are peculiar enough that I would not take it to anybody if I had my choice. Might want to run it back to them and say look, was working when I left it with you...

Could it be that your A/C folks forgot to rehook a vacuum tube; certainly if the problem started just after they worked on it, I wouldn't hesitate to take it back and insist they take a look.

Most likely a vacuum leak and if recently worked on, a hose may be off. Check the FAQ as there are good suggestions in it.
