The ones with the pins have the recess around the centre. This increases the diameter of the "hole". This is a bit undercut. The ones with no pins are flat with no recess. I think the change came when they changed from spring clutch to diaphragm to get a bit of clearance for the changed driven plate. I have a pic showing both if anyone wants it but like many don't get on with posting pics here. Post an email address if you want a copy. You can disguise the address if needed.
