I'm curious, what makes you think that connector is behind your no start? Just because you tugged on it and a wire came out or was loose? I don't recall such a connector on anything that might be associated with a no start, just things like washer pumps, the odd solenoid or maybe a side marker light.
Your problem smells more like something such as a failed CPS rpm sensor or failed AMM. Disconnect the AMM and try restarting in "limp home mode". Also check your 25A system fuse for corrosion (still out in the open under the hood in your year as I recall). Carefully check for a damaged CPS cable, especially down at the top of the sensor on the crankcase bell housing. If it's a solid CPS failure rather than intermittent then there's a diagnostic test you can try doing at the OBD socket. It's in the 700/900 FAQ. Same LH 2.4 system as yours. Many people would simply replace it after checking a few other basics. It never hurts to have a spare. There's another diagnostic test you can do that cycles through exercising some of the system components, including pulsing the injectors to confirm that the ECU is capable of operating them -you should be able to hear/feel them ticking. It keeps cycling until you end the test.
As for the loose wires, like Randy says, push in from behind on both sides. If the bullet or sleeve can pull right out then there should be one or two little tangs on it you can pry out with a pin to better grip the connector shell. If the shell is worn or damaged so it can't grip, you can always try squirting a little hotmelt glue from behind to hold it (or even white carpenter glue). If the female sleeve isn't adequately grabbing the bullet for a decent electrical connection you can usually tighten it by either gently crushing the sleeve a bit with pliers (a wire crimper if you've got it) or try pushing something like a jeweller's screwdriver down the side to slightly deform it.
