I couldn't make heads nor tails of your text, but a glance at the excellent pictures shows me the same flare joints used in 240 fuel lines since the k-jet era, same as those lines used to circulate ATF through the radiator to cool the automatic transmission. The nuts you want are threaded 1/2-20 for the 5/16 steel line.
