940 wagon brake like 900 1993

Joel, Whatever your decision about the brake line repair--you should lose the idea of using a compression fitting for the fix. They are suitable enough to repair a transmission pipe to the radiator but not with the very high psi pressure of a brake line - may be an illegal fix, in fact. You need a fix that involves a double flare end (obtainable even with a cheap flare kit). You should be able to buy a pre-made fixed line to fit onto the flex hose (or find what you need from a parts car that will come apart at the flex hose) - and then a double flare coupler to link it to the remaining fixed line on the car. - Dave
