Lookinig for a TowBar set up 200

Whatever you find in the scrap yards, or used on-line, will likely mount as the original dealer installed trailer hitches (to be picky-that's the term you should use-rather than tow bar-which is a related-but different thing). I drive a 1980 245 (bought in 2000) that has an orignal "Volvo" hitch -- and have stored away an aftermarket to go on my V8 project 245. The aftermarket hitch is a lighter duty unit (1.5" receiver) but mounts using the same fixed nut points used by the Volvo hitch. That is - a few 10mm bolts (14mm head) on each frame rail as well as a long heavier bolt going up through the bumper piston. Years ago I installed a used Volvo hitch on my original V8 - bought a bolt kit from Volvo for about $30 - then 1989. -- Dave
