How does a drive shaft take out the [M47 II] rear cover and roller bearing 200 1993

Just like to know.

You did post this thread here:

1993 245 m47 5th gear vibration 200 1993

I've also encountered a loose or barely tightened to snug retaining nut that secures the output flange to the output shaft on the M47 (and other) transmission(s).

What broke?

A u-joint?

Carrier bearing assembly and bushing?

The rubber giubo (some call guibo) flex coupler secured at the M47 II output flange and the very front of the drive shaft?

Broken / failed motor mounts / transmission mount?

Gear box oil level?

Too many burnouts and too much drifting on a welded open diff with 17" 10" wide wheels / tires on dry concrete / asphalt. (Just kidding. Sort of. People to this to poor 240, versus learning how build them up and top learn to race them. They'll 'turbo' a 1992 B230F and wonder why something breaks.)

A combination?

Curious. Glad you are okay.

M47 disassembly is a pain. Yet you seem to have done so. Mine was the inner transmission selector shaft seal on the inner wall of the rear splash chamber. The M47 is needlessly complicated while such a frail beast requiring some (I'll tell yeh) hhhwhut vigilant care.

From a 740, so not entirely the same, yet linkage and bell housing may swap, that is if this is actually worthy. Hopefully has the CPS notch for EZK116 as yours has. This has been for sale for a long, long time.

Says M47 transmissions. In Saylorsburg, PA state:

Not much at all on the iPd USA classifieds:

Indeed, if you want an AW7x auto. Later models have a ball bearing out put shaft and not some plastic bushing output shaft. I guess that's better.

Maybe ask the various Volvo, Volvo 240, Volvo 7x0 (740), Volvo 240 fan club, and other resources on facebook, though it sll seems sort of sketchy.

Questions,

Hope that helps yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....
