On the 740 sedans they're removed through the front passenger's door. I don't know about the 240. Maybe compare the width of the headliner to the distance measured from the lower front corner of the doorway to the upper rear. I can tell you (from experience) that on the 740 the seat back has to be layed back, and then it is a TIGHT SQUEEZE to pass it through the door.
