PV544 front suspension mods

I'm getting ready to start a GM V6 with a T5 gearbox project on my 59 PV544. Is there any decent / easy to get hold of, front suspensions with rack & pinion steering that will possibly bolt on? I'm thinking of rack & pinion to get around that huge Volvo steering column. I'm not too concerned if I do have to cut and / or weld. I had thought of using a suspension from an MGB but, it's too narrow and I don't want to cut and weld on that one. Any ideas???

All the hot rodders use the Mustang 2 front end, lots of parts available aftermarket. Don't know anything fitment wise, but it's worth a look.
