I think you are all missing the truth. Putin is not what you think. He is Christian, shock! Putin does not want war with us. Get away from the main stream news and you will find that Putin is liberating Ukraine from the Nazi's, plus destroying bio-weapons labs that our own CIA was responsible for. He did not shell that nuclear plant, Ukraine did. The news is full of fake stories and video's. They have even been using footage from movies. Crimea had their water supply cut off for the past 8 years and it was just reopened. If we don't stop our government it will start a war with Russia. The old military industrial complex here wants us killed for profit. Reject them.

Where are you getting your news? Such as Nazis are a problem in Ukraine? It appears to me that Putin is the closest thing to a Nazi that we have seen since WWII. Only a war criminal would bomb schools, hospitals, maternity ward’s and kill civilians. Please explain why it is a good thing that millions of children have been displaced and are trying to survive in foreign countries?

Even if you don’t believe the news tell me what gives Putin the right to invade/annex a sovereign country? Isn’t it clear to you that he is trying to rebuild the Russian empire? He has already done this in Crimea. If the Baltic states weren’t already part of NATO he would have invaded them already. Please explain why historically neutral countries such as Finland and Norway are now finally choosing to join NATO. Even always neutral Switzerland is considering it. They are all afraid of the Fascist Putin! Do you know your history? After WWII Russia annexed about half of Europe. Sovereign countries such as Ukraine, Poland, East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania and the 3 Baltic states. Fortunately, they are all now free to choose their governments. Not be ruled by a totalitarian dictator!

Have you ever been to a Communist country my friend? If you haven’t you should travel there and see it for yourself. It will open your eyes. I traveled to East Berlin and East Germany while it was still Communist. The Berlin Wall was a very real barrier to freedom! It was a very depressing place with Fascist style rule. People had little freedom. That type of rule is what Putin wants. - Totalitarian - Like the old Russian empire. Is that what you really want?

Here's a novel idea how about we stop sticking our nose where it doesnt belong trying to prop up a democracy in a land that was once part of the USSR. Not going to end well as you can see. Want proof? Look at the videos of the Orange Man and his meetings with Putin. Pay attention to the words coming out of the mouth of the Orange Man.

The Orange Man tried his hardest to dissolve NATO. He created confusion and distrust among EU nations and the USA. He also wiped out most of the senior staff of the State Department.

China is watching closely. If the USA does not respond decisively in the Ukraine, that will give China free reign to do what it wants in the Pacific.

1. Trump is being prosecuted for fraud in NY state.
2. He attempted to overturn a legitimate election by inciting a riot and then lied about it. He and his people are not cooperating and withholding documents from the Congressional investigation into the Jan. 6th 2020 travesty. The attack on our democracy. Makes one wonder - what have they got to hide??

Regarding Putin - Watch the videos of Trump interacting with Putin. It is clearly obvious that he admires and is subservient to him. Obviously subservient due to Trump’s past and present business dealings in Russia!

Hey, this thread has gotten off track! OP posted about Putin. It isn’t about Trump or Biden. It should be obvious that Putin is a real danger to all of us. Study his history. He has already done this in Crimea, Georgia and Kazakhstan. Do you think he is going to stop at Ukraine? He will take whatever we let him take. Next stop could be Paris or London.

If someone started shooting up my neighbors house, I would grab my shotgun and try to stop the shooting. EU countries, are you listening? What is the United Nations waiting for? The Ukrainians are crying for HELP and everyone is plugging their ears and closing their eyes.

The reason is very simple: the EU does not have the capabilities of defending itself against a Russian invasion, so you don't give Putin a reason to do so. If he does strike first, then it's an attack on NATO.

Unlike the USA, the EU is not some kind of United States of Europe, despite the word "union". In fact the only nation in the world that could take on the Russians is... well you guessed it.

The same thing keeps the UN (or did you mean NATO?) back. There is no defense against a nuclear attack which Putin has promised us, only retaliation. But hey, that's the cold war starting all over again.

Maybe he should have a talk with Gorbachev. He can tell him a thing or two about how an exploded nuclear reactor in the Ukraine not only bankrupted the USSR but also contributed to its demise.

Putin doesn’t care, he's the sort of Psychopath that would launch a bunch of nukes just before he dies.

Hopefully a Russian Patriot would put a bullet in him before he does anything seriously stupid.

Putin was KGB for many, many years. He has a labyrinth of security set up around him. He will never let anyone from the general public get close enough to assassinate him. Best chance is someone on the inside turns on him or the Russian people step up and overthrow him!
