Hi B20 Paul,
When you posted Agent Orange, for a moment, thought you meant the SoCal quasi punk rock band.
I and other people can't post brickboard URLs in thread replies and also in Messenger Service messages.
I can post links from any other Volvo enthusiast site from 'round the world.
I need to reply and comment to maintain QWERTY keyboard affinity. Yet doing this is no replacement for real technical writer work. I possess many perception nd cognition issues and reading and writing and technical illustration overcome these.
Facebook is evil X9,999,999,999. Yet I appreciate it as a publishing platform when I originally encountered it a decade or so ago, when I could post brickboard URLs generously. I do this to drive people to Uncle Jarrod's brickboard and I forget his name Turbobricks (site).
There exists several facebook group pages named Turbobricks yet no affiliation at all with the genuine Turbobricks site.
One facebook "Brickboard" page set up by John Sergeant or his son? Not much activity. I check in on that occasionally to reply and again drive them to use the Brickboard. I can persuade and exhort until a deep blue form about the face.
Horse to water sort of a thing. Carrot, stick, swift kick to the duff.
The quality of those forums is better in the 100 and PV series. Also an 850 group appears rather okay. It is the groups with 240, 740, 940 content that can go wonky.
Rob Bareiss (brickboard member Aye Roll) is an admin for his facebook Volvo 240, 740, 940 club or group. Has over 23k members. He monitors it occasionally, yet the group is so active he can't reply to all the goofy posts. He removes the non-RWD Volvo posts. when he gets to it. Rob Bareiss (Aye Roll) is also a brickboard forum member yet is inactive since 2015.
I can post links to these groups as you like, B20 Paul. There do exist several 140 series related groups, the groups have an international roster of members. And they show case some gorgeous images of 140, 160, PV, Amazon, and the like.
I enjoy the images and knowing more about what RWD Volvos offer in other markets from the factory.
Very much like the 164 group page there. Rarely a George Downs 164 pops up with a new owner. I also post each 164 for sale I encounter, usually on craigslist.
You can post craigslist links on facebook. Or I can. 164s are a cause for me, maybe more so than 240. Want a 164 with M410. 1972 model year.
Thank you. Happy Hallow Dayze!!!! Eggnog in the stores have risen. I pray to eggnog.
Compulsive RWD Volvo topical Writer this day and some prior days in the last few decades.
Where is Uncle Old Duke> We need to discuss shysters and how to deal with them. Cause I'm a gullible shmo.
I ave no family and no real friends beyond contact through these forums. My mudder is on her third husband. Through the 1970s, she called me SoB repeatedly. Thought that was my name for a while.
