I resigned from my job last week.

Jumping out of this ring and into a new one.

I'll be back to consulting. Starting my own company with a grand total of one.

All seems to be lining up nicely. I'll be starting a new contract on the 4th, after I get back from South Carolina (family Thanksgiving).

Prospects are looking great.

Keeping it running is better than buying new

This site has always been great for advancing my skills in what interests
me and pays the bills. I've been teaching myself python and preparing for
a "serverless" architecture. If I can get there, it will drive the
operating cost way down. It will also give me demonstrable skill in this
kind of architecture.

Reminding myself of some of the features I enabled has been nice. The
reply-to-post email thing is really convenient. The anonymous email is
also a nice feature. I'm just about done moving this up to a platform
level implementation, versus server-based infrastructure. This is less
risky and much more scalable.
