Best Hamburger / Cheeseburger?

Hudson's Hamburger on Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

What is / are the best hamburgers / cheeseburgers you enjoy or enjoyed.

I so desperately miss Northern Idaho and Volvo-loving WA-state, or Wacky State. Yet I do not miss the funny business one jot. Like all the funny business here in St. Louis. Yet you can buy St. Louis style pizza in the grocery stores now. Dogtown Pizza frozen is my fave. Yet that is another opinion request as to the best pizza.

Fave soda pop is the Fresca. Oberweiss the fave EggNawg for me.

    Best Hamburger / Cheeseburger?

Just a grilled cheese burger, medium rare on a 'regular' bun. No catsup, no mustard, no onions piled high, no green stuff, no slippery tomato, no hard pretzel bun. And never McDonalds, Bugger King, or Wendy's.

I had one in the bowing alley/cafe in Battle Lake, MN. Best burger in a very long time. The local beers left a lot to be desired, but the cheese burger was first rate. Too bad it is 3 hours from here!

    Best Hamburger / Cheeseburger?

The question of memorable or favorite hamburgers doesn’t conjure any one burger or burger joint into my mind. Perhaps I’m not an aficionado. Perhaps I need to travel more. For sure I do enjoy a good hot cheeseburger. I prefer melty American cheese, sesame seed bun and an extra hot and greasy patty.

Recently some local establishments have added an “Impossible Burger” to their menus. Meat without Feet! I have no idea what’s in it other than "Not Meat". I was pleasantly surprised after sinking my teeth into one; it was good! The taste and texture was right on. It even looked like a like a fine medium cooked hamburger (the beer and low light in the bar might have helped). It felt good to enjoy such a meal without wondering what pain and suffering the poor cow went through in order to satiate my desire for a cheeseburger.

There’s an outfit in New Haven, Conn. not too far from me called Louis’ Lunch. It’s one of the few outfits that claim to have been the originator of the hamburger. But I’ve never experienced their grilled beef between slices of white toast. I gather they don’t even allow ketchup (a must for me). No, when in New Haven I go straight for the pizza joints, usually Sally’s Apizza or Pepe’s. Nothing compares to a fresh and hot New Haven style pizza pie.

Hmmm, German food. How many burger place in the USA have that horrible yellow 'cheese' & why does it exsist?

You come to my place, you get rib fittet, as much heavily browned onion as you want, tomato, lettuce, any a tiny amount of ketchup or brown sauce on your burger, although I won't be eating that for awhile after half a million beef cows died due to the flood.

My fav actual burger was my Grandads, probably because it was cooked on a hotplate powered by beautiful smelling hardwood. Every time a smell a good fire, I go back 40+ years.

Pizza, I avoid, because of the carb content. No starch, no sugar & no salt, you live along time.

Eggnog I love, I like to Jersey up my milk too!
