| Just in front of the bolt holding the cowl in at the rear of each fender, there is a rubber bumper for the hood which pegs into the fender laterally (not vertically).
As it happens, one of those bumpers fell off in my hand and it gave me plenty of room for the fore/aft finagling of the cowl to get the guide over the pin. |
