Sliced off the faceplate of my old Volvo factory stereo to cover the new aftermarket one. Dremel cutting tool and glue are required, and some patience and velcro strips. Will fit pretty flush if you do not install the trim ring around the aftermarket stereo.

Thanks! The wood is solid black walnut. After shaping, sanding, etc., I applied two coats of mirror-coat to the wood face to give it all a high gloss. It has a magnetic closure, Fischer cupholder, two tequila glasses in leather holders, and a jigger of the best tequila on the planet: Casa Noble Reposado. Yeah, I went a little crazy.

Photo of the installed center console (modified 140 console). Made deeper and shorter to fit the 164. A real walnut lid replaced the original 140 padded lid. A rare armrest from a 240 with a drink holder was reupholsered to match the 164 seats. The armrest was also modified to slide back and down behind the seat when not in use. See other pics.
