Just finished covering the chrome metal trim on my 240 with PlastiDip. It turned out pretty well and it was nice to be able to just wipe off any over spray with a dry rag. |

NOTE |
Some of the Volvo branded radios I've collected. Two EQs. I plan to install a radio (maybe the coveted CR-814) with an EQ, splice in or build a connector to integrate a 1/8" stereo jack to incorporate a portable 12v powered or charged MP3/WMF or portable CD player through the EQ that'll be volume and tone controlled by the radio controls, and then channeled into the connected amp. I plan to, I plan to, I plan to ... someday. Something about getting that next technical writer job and yet after the suspension work, and then I'll do it. Requires wire harness creation, repair adaptation of existing in car audio wire harness, and setting up speakers of one each in each of the four doors and two or four speakers on the rear hat shelf of one or the other of my two 240 sedans. The wagon has a CD receiver in it, so improvements to that can wait. |

NOTE |
I replaced both struts on this new-to-me 940. Using the detailed instructions on the FAQ, I was able to finish in 5.5 hours. The nuts were a pain to remove. Heat and two 24" pipe wrenches and they still didn't budge. Heat and a pneumatic chisel did it! The result is as depicted on the picture. Nice Nuts! |

This is what my 1987 VOLVO 245 DL looked like when I bought it, back on Oct. 28, 2011. |
