| I've been looking for a good water softener (that doesn't run out after only a wash or two) for my garden hose, so I can wash my cars without too much spotting (I have very, very hard water). I got this kit from Griot's Garage (a catalog mailorder company), and it seems to have the capacity to do what I want -- that cartridge is over 4 inches wide and over a foot long (see the ruler in the center).
This kit is p/n 37244.

| Chassis is Toyota pigup, all components (instruments etc) from truck except windshield frame and headlights. Body is all wood, various thicknesses of plywood, and fir. Easy build! |
