Volvo 240 700 900 SRS Code Check Procedure. 'Cause no one, not even the Volvo owner manual, or the green manual, unless someone knows where, like Uncle Art B., have the procedure. And sometimes the 700-900-90 FAQ can really suck. |

NOTE |
A heat shield I fabricated from a piece of 18ga that had a sharp press bend in it. It's attached only at the 2 points, and the rear end is free, but it seems stiff enough not to rattle. There's about .25 inch above and below, but I think it's enough to reduce direct radiant transfer to the alternator. A longer belt might increase that space. |

PS pump bracket needs to move forward about 15mm to line up with the frontmost crank pulley. You'll need a few nuts and longer bolts from a decent hardware store.
The pump was meant to adjust the belt in a different arc, so you'll have less adjustment range than before. Belt size is critical. I finally hit on a 15-405 as a perfect fit. Even a cm too small or large will work marginally well if at all. |
