NOTE |
Having to replace my original wiper motor since the big magnet inside came loose, I got a rebuilt one from a friend. Even with a new grommet in place, I wanted to do a good job of sealing the new motor at the hole in the firewall. The old motor had a bunch of what looked to be white caulk squirted into it at that location. I wanted something cleaner, better, and more secure. I decided on using plumber's putty which is remarkable stuff. After mounting the motor, the putty filled the area quite well, I think. |

NOTE |
This is the oil pump on my b230ft L-block engine. It sort of looks like it was beat up a long ago or soldered/brazed. I'm not sure why anyone would do that or what other causes there are. |

NOTE |
This is the lower rod bearing on cylinder 2 showing plastigage measurement. It may have been affected by me not shimming the rod for movement when I torqued the rod bolts, or it may be tapered wear on the crankshaft. |
