While tightening the Crank shaft bolt I was using a 1/2 breaker bar, along with a 1/2"-3/8" adapter coupled with a 3/8"-1/2" adapter and then the socket, so that I wasn't limited by the water pump. Don't do this- I felt it give and stopped pushing, looked and laughed. Not made for that job.

Is the extension running to the left-most connector supposed to be there? It had wire ties on it so I doubt it came like that from the factory.

Introduced on 900s in 1993 in conjunction with the revised RPM sensors (white band on cable near connector). Ref. TSB 2-28-915 July 1994. I have noticed several CPS with the white band that have failed insulation. This was on a 93 240, that replaced 3 1/2 years ago. I need to replace one with a white band on a 91 240 that was replaced about 6 years ago. We have heard the yellow band CPS has bad insulation but it appears the same is true for the white band CPS. Dan
