June 15, 2008 Fathers Day ( rain or shine )
The 52nd Annual Newport Motor Car Festival sponsored by the Portsmouth Rotary Club and the Viking chapter of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America will be held on Father's Day, June 15th. New this year, the Rotary Club will be awarding first and second places to classic Volvos 25 years old and older.
The awards will be based on the a walk through by car buffs appointed by the Rotary. The Boston/Merrimac Valley Chapter VCOA plans to attend the event being held on the lawns of the Portsmouth Abbey School overlooking beautiful Narragansett bay. Volvo’s will all be parked together!
