I finally overcame my cheapness and went out and bought a fuel pressure gauge. And as it turns out 850s don't like running on 26psi of fuel. Pressure reads the same at the fuel rail as at the pump.

Not bad enough to keep it from running, fundamental enough to keep it from tripping a code.

Now the question is whether the fuel pump is crapping out or is the FPR letting too much by? As mentioned earlier, the relay has already been switched.
