I have recently bought a 2000 V70 the way the memory seats work does not seem to be of much use anyway. If you ajust the seat backwards from normal driving position. to enable easier exit and entry, and then the seat goes foreward when you open the door you then have to move it back to make it easier to get in. Would make a lot more sense if the seat moved to the memorised position when the ignition key was inserted or turned on, as happened with the only other car I have driven with memory seats, with the steering wheel lifting and the seat shifting backwards on removing the key and returning to driving position when the ignition was turned on.
