No, you won't have any problem with the SIP bags going off. When I did mine I just took some wire cutters and clipped the Hog-Rings along the bottom of the seatback and the couple up the middle area of the seatback then rolled the backside up with no problems. You don't have to completely remove the seatcover to get to the cable, only about half way up the back. I just remove the cable at the motor end, warmed up the metal cap end and slid the cap off. Then I trimmed about 1/2" of the plastic cable housing off, then warmed up the metal cap and slid it back on there, done. Then just slide the cable back into the motor and bolt it back down. Secure the cable as it was with some black nylon tie-wraps and pull the seatcover back into place. I used white nylon tie-wraps to secure the seatcover back down (instead of trying to work with hog-rings). They work perfectly after you pull 'em down tight and trim the excess tie-wrap off. I did mine about 3 years ago and haven't had any more problems.
