a lot of the manufacturers are starting to put speed limiters on. mb/bmw/volvo, etc. i believe our volvos from the 95/96 model years did not have them. my volvo 95 850 turbowagon has a "drag" limited 147 mph according to a magazine. the newer models s/v-70 may have been limited to 130 mph (which is good enough for most applications =)).
