You had this question back in 2012, kind of. So you should know that for the XC, you start in 2004 and work your way newer. It's a Volvo, so there are electronic glitches on every model, expect it to happen to you too.

It is not how much the odometer has spun, it is how well the maintenance was performed.

Of course, the XC is more complicated than the V, it is also harder to work on when there is a prop shaft from the transmission to the rear wheels. Expect more maintenance with the XC: bevel gear oil change, Haldex oil and filter. Watch out for failing fuel pumps.
