If you are going OEM replacements, scribe the old shocks against the steering arm before removing. That way, you have a good chance of keeping the alignment correct. You will still have to have an alignment.

Watch out for the ABS sensor on the strut. The 1998 had a center plastic peg that was pushed out to release it.
