The only problem with the 04+ is the computers. There are a lot of them and dealers only replace $$$$. Make sure that all of the electrical items work. The tranny and bevel gear fluids will need flushing. All fluids are synthetic, including engine oil.

The 2.5T is a proven good engine, the Haldex is alao good. Just a warning, the car can get stuck if all 4 wheels slip. Find out which fuse is for the ABS and be prepared to pull it out when you get stuck. Disabling the ABS will get you out of a stuck situation.
