I know you discount Victor fixing your ABS unit, but I really don't know anyway to by-pass it to get your speedo back, so to me, his service still makes sense. Many people from all over the world send him their ABS units. He even explains what to do for international shipments to and from him on his website as well as how to make payment. Personally, no matter where I was in the world, I would do it. I'm speaking from having him do mine last year (very very happy with his service, and he's quick too!) as well as having a couple of my friends who live in Tokyo use his service.
