So the dealer wanted to charge us $880+ dollars to replace the broken left strut mount after only 50K miles. (See my post back in May 2005) Instead we opted for the following:

Koni adjustable bolt on strut kit $400 + tax for both sides
Replace mounts from Volvo $100
local Labor for modifying OEM strut mount and fixing $398

For the same money I got performance upgrade struts, fixed the problem, and didn't have to have the work done by Volvo. The one issue I had was finding a local mechanic who was willing to modify the OEM mounts, but found a guy a mile from my house that could do the work, as defined by Koni.
