Another question that I am looking for an answer to. Within the last month, my 850 wagon power steering pump (?), which now has about 125K on it, has started to moan/groan when I turn the steering wheel, particularly when I am at a standstill. I do not believe the belt to be slipping. Is there a filter or screen that requires maintenance that might be restricting fluid flow thru the rack or something, requiring the pump to groan as it does? It appears that my steering has become somewhat more difficult as well. Is my pump or (god forbid), my rack, in need of replacement or rebuild?
