Hi,

Out of the blue the CD changer in my wagon "ate" one of the CDs. Wouldn't play it, wouldn't return it to the magazine. I took the unit apart and retrieved the CD then plugged it in and watched the mechanism when I turned on the radio. (Had to run back and forth many times)

When the radio (head unit) is turned on, magazine in, no CD loaded, the changer checks each slot in the magazine for a CD then parks. Mine never checks the #1 slot and always loads the #5 CD.

Before I buy one or the other, does anyone know if this is a logic issue in the changer or the head unit? If time permits I'll inspect the changer's board for cracked traces etc.
