engine quits and wont start back up immediatly 850 1994

My 850 turbo engine shut off when driving and would not restar . the check engine light did not come on. after about an hour wait, it started right up and has been starting normally. How can I find the cause and correct it because now I have no faith in the dependability of this car. All help woill be gratefully accepted.
