I have a '94 Volvo 850 turbo and need a device that no-one (I checked 4 dealers so far) can tell me what it is. The Haynes manual says it is a Kickdown switch but after extensively searching and coming up w/ nothing I don't know if that is correct or not. Anyway, I'll just describe it: It is mounted to the firewall on the engine compartment side via a nipple that sticks in a grommet. The accelerator cable is fed through the device at the firewall. It's plastic and there is a 2 conductor wireing harness connector on it. I'm sure if you have the car sitting there and look at the place where the accelerator cable goes through the firewall you'll see what I'm talking about. If someone could get me a part number or how to buy it I would appreciate it. Thanks.
