Just bought an'88 V70, which ,so far, seems pretty good!! One problem though is that although the radio was workibg fine when I first looked at the car, before taking it to my local Volvo expert, the radio worked fine. When it got checked out I guess that power got unhooked and now I hace CODE on the radio. Called the local Volvo dealer, spoke to their parts department and was given a code based on the Vin number, but this doesn't work!! I guess that the radio may not be original. Can anyone suggest how to get the code, other than taking to a dealer and being charged a small fortune? Please help!
